About the Event Planner

Hello my name is Alexandra, I have a degree in Office Administration. I have noticed that North Bay doesn't have anything like this to claim a name to. I have seen other events like this become huge names, (ei: Anime North, and Anirevo Toronto, or Graphic Con and Sudbury Comicon). These events bring thousands to their respective regions. My hope is that I can do something like those events. I love the wonder that fairies and fae in general bring into our world. The amount of people that still believe in the mystical and magical world is something that I would love to bring to North Bay.

Why a Fae Ball?

I had the idea for the Midnight Court while watching my daughters play fairies. Growing up in North Bay, I’ve always known that while we have a few fun summer events, there isn’t much that brings both kids and adults together in a truly magical way.

Yes, we have our festivals like Summer in the Park, Poutine & Ribfest, and the traveling carnivals that visit each year. But what we don’t have is something that celebrates a shared passion the way larger cities do. Toronto has Anime North and Fan Expo, Sudbury has launched its own Comic Con — but here in the “Gateway to the North,” there’s nothing quite like that for our own community.

So why a Fae Ball? Because with everything happening in the world today, I think we could all use a little magic and whimsy. And what’s more magical and whimsical than fairies?

The Midnight Court is my dream to create something North Bay can be proud of — an event where people of all ages can come together, celebrate creativity, and step into an enchanted world for a night.

So come out, enjoy the magic, and help make this something our community can truly call its own.
