About the Event Planner

Hello my name is Alexandra, I have a degree in Office Administration. I have noticed that North Bay doesn't have anything like this to claim a name to. I have seen other events like this become huge names, (ei: Anime North, and Anirevo Toronto, or Graphic Con and Sudbury Comicon). These events bring thousands to their respective regions. My hope is that I can do something like those events. I love the wonder that fairies and fae in general bring into our world. The amount of people that still believe in the mystical and magical world is something that I would love to bring to North Bay.

Why a Fae Ball?

I had the idea; while watching my daughters play fairies. I grew up in the area and knew that there wasn’t much for kids and adults alike to do in the summer.

Yes we have our festivals like Summer in the Park, Poutine and Ribfest and whatever Carnival comes to the city in the summer.

However what we don’t have is something the bigger cities have, a place where people come together and show their love for a genre.

Toronto has Anime North, Fan Expo, and Sudbury has started their own Comic Con.

North Bay doesn’t have anything like this, As we are the “GATEWAY TO THE NORTH” I would like to start something that we as a community can be proud of.

So why a FAE BAll you ask? well i think its somewhat safe to say that with everything going on today we all need to have a night or magic and whimsy, and what’s more magical and whimsical than FAIRES!

So come out and enjoy a magical night and help make this something North Bay can call it’s own.

  • Absolutely! Costumes are encouraged. However, real weapons or weapon replicas are not allowed, even if part of a costume. Accessories must be safe and event-friendly.

  • Yes. There will be official event photographers and potentially roving performers with cameras. By entering the event, you consent to being photographed for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, let our staff or photographers know.

  • Yes – wings, horns, staffs, and lights are welcome, as long as they are not sharp or obstructive. Please be mindful of other guests and venue space.
